dvb NY Karma Mobius Necklace

Product Description
"Karma: What comes around goes around"
Sterling silver Mobius necklace by dvbny
About the Mobius shape:
The geometric form of the bracelet is known as a Mobius strip, after the German mathematician August Ferdinand Mobius (1790-1868). It represents the seeming paradox of a plane without end, or one of infinite length. As such it became accepted as the symbol for infinity, an appropriate and symbolic form for this uplifting quotation.

The ideas of cause and effect, and the related
ethic of reciprocity, is common to many
religions and philosophies of both East and
West, and has been debated for millenia.
The English language expression: what goes
around comes around, is of uncertain and
probably recent origin, but has found wide
currency in popular culture through music,
film and the written word.
It encapsulates in English a central tenet of
Buddhist and Hindu thought: that of karma.
Karma is the concept that an individual’s
behaviour, both good and bad, will have a
commensurate positive or negative effect in
this life, or the next; samsara, the cycle of
birth, death and rebirth, being another
fundamental belief of Buddhists and Hindus
alike. Essentially, the good and bad in our
behaviour toward others will be returned to
us, and it should guide us in our dealings
with others..
The phrase is engraved around this
symbolically shaped pendant, terminating in
the word karma in English and Sanskrit.
